Since 1994, the Center for History and New Media has used digital media and computer technology to democratize history�to incorporate multiple voices, reach diverse audiences, and encourage popular participation in presenting and preserving the past. We sponsor more than a dozen digital history projects and offer free tools and resources for historians.

ONCE THE DUST CLEARED AND GOV. TIMOTHY KAINE signed the FY2007-08 budget on June 30, it became clear that the General Assembly had worked to meet many of Mason's outstanding resource needs. While the General Assembly increased support for all schools in the commonwealth, Mason's increase of 19 percent in 2007 and 22 percent in 2008 reflect the university's role as the largest and fastest growing institution in the state.
